1961 Oldsmobile Starfire Convertible Noblesville, IN
This is a hard choice I have to make, but daughter in college and I need to help her out amidst a tough few years for us financially.
I’m offering for sale price of $25,000 or best offer the following:
1961 Oldsmobile Starfire Convertible – White Exterior with Garnet Mist interior.
This car has been sitting for over 6 years. It’s been garage since at least 1970, but Indiana roads did cause some rust.
Motor seized and did not try to free it up. Was running when parked over 6 years ago.
Only passenger side of the car window works, three others do not.
Electric antenna and radio work.
Passenger front and Passenger rear brake drums and pads were frozen and had to be hammered off. Hubs are back on car, the pads are not.
I have the bottom trim pieces that are in overall good condition I believe. I have to pull them down out of the garage and get some pictures.
This car is a perfect restore candidate.
These cars are very rare especially in this color combo per things I've researched. Feel free to correct me if this is wrong.
This is my parent’s car that became mine through estate. I was brought home from the hospital in this car. I spent many a great summer with the top down and my hair getting stuck in the Olds logo on the back speaker. It's probably still in there...I believe this to be a 2 owner (now 3 due to transfer to me) as my Dad bought this car in 1963.
If I haven't received any serious offers in the next few days, I will be putting it on a website auction, thinking about Ebay. If anyone has a better suggestion than that, please let me know. My daughter's education is first and foremost, so I need to find a home for this great Olds.
This is a beautiful diamond in the rough ready for your TLC.
