1961 Oldsmobile Starfire Convertible

Hello everyone! I joined this forum to find a great home for my 1961 Olds Starfire convertible. I have a kid in college and unfortunately need to raise some cash. I will be posting information in the near future. If you're like me, these cars are such a beautiful artwork of cars of that generation.

Welcome to the forum! You won't have a problem finding a new home for a Starfire on this site; but don't be surprised if we try to talk you into keeping it.

I will be looking forward to seeing the pictures, one of my all time favorite Olds. A shame you have to part with it.

Thanks everyone

Thank you everyone for the welcomes to the forum! I really would love to keep this beauty, but I'm hoping to be able to see someone help transform her back. It's a very very emotional but necessary decision I had to make. Best case scenario is that the buyer would keep me inform of the transformation etc. This car does feel like a part of my family since I was but a babe for my first ride. I've now listed it here and on a few other forums. If anyone has any advice for me in trying to find a buyer, please feel free to comment or email! Thanks everyone!

Thank you everyone for your encouragement. I'm hoping to find a good home for my car. Also, hoping that whoever buys her might let me see the process of getting her going again. Fingers crossed. I've listed the car on here, but it came up in Newbies thread. When I tried to change it, it's disappeared and so not sure what I did to screw it up now. Anyone that can help?

Thanks Eric! I think I was searching incorrectly. I love your car. My Dad started me off driving in a 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass. I named it the Lead Sled (I name all my cars and trucks....) I grew up where no matter what direction you went to our house you had to go up a hill and down a hill. Back then they didn't come out our way as often with the snow plow, so I learned to drive extremely well. It was that or go in the ditch or off the bridge. Anyway the *** end of that car would get to swinging around fishtailing all over the place. Hence the name, built like a tank! I have no idea what motor was in it. Maybe someday I'll find the paperwork and research. Thanks again!
