Cleaning the Convertible top

Cleaning the Convertible top
the top on my car is in need of a good cleaning.. It has been sitting outside under a cover for the last 5 years and now is nice and dirty. What is recommended to clean the top and of course next step. to preserve it and keep it looking nice.
