Red Inner Fenders

Anybody got a tried and true way to spruce up the red innner fenders? They seem to whiten and chaulk up in spots. You can scape with a razor knife and remove some of the white. Any abrasive cleaners? They are currently out of the car and ready to be spruced up.....

it will take more hours than you can imagine but many of them can look as good as new. here is a link to a guy that does it to old 3 wheeler finders. there are a couple better links but i can't find them right now.
