Arrggghhh!!! I'm so aggravated right now!!!
For the hour or so I've been trying to get the corner trim and the lower trim piece on my '72 Supreme to line up and have gotten absolutely nowhere!!!
I'm guessing that if I loosen up the speed nut for the corner trim piece, I can tweak it enough to get it lined up. Problem is, IT WON'T LOOSEN UP!!! I've tried every which way I can possibly fathom, and it's not working!!
I don't want to leave it like it is, but I dunno what to do.
Please advise!!
Thanks!

Is it an issue of accessing the speed nuts from the trunk and getting enough torque on it to loosen it? Or is is so rusted-on that it won't budge? If the former, try a 6-point box-end wrench or small 6-pt socket (if there is room). If the later, soak it w/ penetrating lube. Keep in mind that after many years of being clamped in one position that it may have left an impression in the vinyl and be difficult to keep it in a new (better aligned) position as you re-torque the nuts. A 2nd set of hands may be required.
A picture of the inside access to the trouble nuts would be helpful.
