Booster removal

Read Mac's booster testing thread and I had a question about removal.

Fun71 gave the answer I wanted to hear, but I went ahead and removed MC as I didn't want to pull lines too hard or far.

Not much fluid leaked and besides MAW paint.

I hit booster nuts with penetrating oil day before as many other threads stated it was a pain. Really not difficult, just had to brake initial lock and use patience. Everything was attached, but relay behind booster. MAW remove WW pump, clean and rebuild and clean behind both. Pics attached.

Questions,1) does the rear plastic dust cover get sealant and 2) to get proper rod distance just measure rod and count threads on U-shaped item?

I'm replacing booster and have to transfer U-shape item, plastic cover and line clamp.

Thanks all.

Had to replace an alternator on my mazda B2300 inline 4. Piece of cake. Only had 200K on the the replacement. coming up on 500K soon!

I'd buy another inline 4 anytime. seems that the inline motors last and last.

Have not re-installed booster, perhaps a bit of sealant is not a bad thing and wing the distance.

Can't wait till the weekend.
