Pump or somethin'...

I've noticed what *COULD* be a power steering-related issue on my '89 Custom Cruiser.

I've replaced steering racks, pumps, etc., on cars before, but I've never had what's potentially going on now happen beforehand.

It was subtle at first, but now it feels like there's a small amount of "tightening" going on when I turn the wheel. It takes just a little more pressure to turn the wheel than it did before.

I checked for leaks (there are none) and the fluid is still full. There's also none of the moaning and groaning that I've found usually comes before the pump fails, nor is there any "binding" or the like.

Before I ignore it and wait to see what happens I wanted to take a poll and see if a failure may be coming my way. Does it really start out so subtly on a car like her?

Thanks in advance...
