Spindles any good?

I just had one turned on a lathe as it was chipped bad from a bad bearing a while back, but they are both about the same... when I put an smaller outer SET2 bearing on, hold it tight and try to move it back and forth to check for play... it moves ever so slightly on both of them. So it seems there is in fact a small gap in between the spindle itself and the bearing, as it is not a perfectly snug fit.

Should I just say screw it, give in, and get Chinese repros?

In my opinion,I think that's going to give you a vibration when you drive it because the inner sleeve is not snug with the spindle shaft.Yes,the bearing will spin, but it will also try to oscillate a very slight amount, which will cause a vibration.
