Brake pedal issue
Brake pedal issue
Guys -
I converted to disc on front and rear about 3 years ago. Recently I have seen when parking that the brake lights are on. Each time, the brake pedal was depressed about an inch. I manually pull it back up toward the driver seat and of course the lights go off. I should note that this does not happen every time I drive.....it's sporadic. Is there an adjustment or something I should look into to solve this?
Thanks in advance.

The brake light switch should be adjusted so that it is fully actuated (lights off) when the pedal is fully released. There may be another adjustment on the MC plunger rod that would also work (and work better), try this first.
Just to be clear, you are talking about pulling the parking brake pedal up, correct? If so, have you checked the adjustment of the parking brake cables? Is it possible that the return spring that is built into the front cable has broken?
