Convertible Top is Slow to raise/lower

I've heard I should add automatic transmission fluid to keep things limber. Anyone have a chart on this? I have a '64 Dynamic. Thanks.

My understanding is that it is like the rear axle, you fill it up to the point it starts to seep out of the fill port. I am not aware of any chart.

fluids

Be sure to understand what fluid is already in the system. Brake fluid was common, then switched to ATF at some point over the years. They are not compatible.
