Who wanted to see my brake setup?

About two weeks ago one of you asked me if I had any pics of the brakes installed without wheels. I didn't but cleaning up last weekend for Goodguys I had them off so here you go.

Cliff notes....
-Buy used brakes off Corvettes.com forum
-order Kore3 mounting brackets
-take apart calipers
-file, sand and hand smooth CORVETTE and casting flash off caliper
- drop off at CNC shop for OLDSMOBILE script to be milled
-spend 6-7 hours with high heat tape and x-acto knife masking letters
-drop off at powder coater
-10-12 hours with a tiny dremel and x-acto knife cutting powder coating and tape from lettering
-assemble calipers and install on car

I have as much time and effort in these brakes as anything else on the car but its fun answering the "Wherd ja order dem from?" questions I get at shows.

Rear are mostly LS1 off a 02 Trans Am. I had to make some spacers to get it all to work. They make some kits but I just went my own way on the rear. Kore3 is not down under. They are in OR

I like, nice job!!

I did something simlar with my Alero. complete 98-02 F Body set-up in the front and 05 Pontaic GXP in the rear.

No powdercoat on the calipers or brackets, just a rattle can here. Rotor hat is powdercoated

My front set-up is 98-02 Camaro calipers and brackets and 00-05 Impala rotors which are 12 inch rotors. Camaro and Corvette calipers are pretty damn close to the same thing. The Vette Calipers have 22% better clamping force. A lot of "F" body guys swap the Vette calipers. They require 16 inch wheels.

Pontaic Grand Prix GXP brakes require 17 inch wheels.

Gearhead, What size wheels are you running? I'm wondering if I could swap double piston calipers on the front of my Delta
