What's it worth - disc brake setup 69 Cutlass

I would appreciate some help here. I have a 69 convertible Cutlass that I am parting out because it is too bad to save.

A fellow is interested in the disc brake setup incuding discs, spindles, calipers, and mounting brackets. Can anyone advise what is a fair price for these items. I am not looking to drain his wallet, just a fair price.

Thanks

You can get the complete setup from the spindles out brand new (including bearings and seals) for under $300 from Speedway Motors. Price a used set accordingly.

The condition of the rotors could have an effect on value. If they can't be turned then that will add to somebody's cost. I think you are in the ballpark at $150.

The rotors are good.
When I said "sounds like a young kid", what I meant was I would cut him a break. If he is a nice kid then I am fine with $150.

Update.

I was right. It was an eighteen year old highschool kid. Real nice kid. I sold them to him for $150, but he did not know how to take them off. So, I contributed the free labor while I froze my fingers off in 20 deg. temperatures!

Thanks everyone

jensenracing77, I guess times have changed! In the past I don't think new parts were available at this low of a price. Or most of us were not aware of it. I remember 10-15 years ago seeing these setups go for $200 at swap meets. And that was grungy parts that needed rebuilt! Last setup I sold a few years ago went for $250 and I thought I gave him a good price.

Gotta love this site for infomation networking!!!

Thats why I went new. I couldn't find a good used set for under $250. By the time you buy new master cylinder, rotors, bearings, pads, and hoses; it is cheaper to buy a conversion kit. In the end, by buying used you're just salvaging the spindles and brackets.
