Is there a stud avail. that can be used with the factory front brake drum HUB, when converting to a two piece (removable) front drum? The only stud I have found that has the correct knurl Dia, has a knurl length that will be too long/will extend above the Hub face. .

A-body or full size? For an A-body, use Dorman 610186 with the short knurl.

70 A-body. The 610-186 will not work, the knurl Dia. is too small A 510.096 has the correct knurl Dia. but the knurl length is too long/will extend above the hub face..A 610.156 may work, closer knurl Dia. To the 610.096 and the shoulder length closer to the hub width. I still need to re-review the total Dim. of hub, drum and compare it to the stud Dimensions.(can't find the wheel stud at a parts store, it would make it easier to do a quick review if I had one)...thanks

I have been wrestling with this same issue for the last several months. I scrutinized the Dorman catalog and bought several different parts and as far as I can tell there are no studs that will work for this application ('72 Cutlass with front drums, converting to "loose" drums).
But, Dorman 610-096 will work if you carefully grind down the length of the knurled section so that it doesn't extend beyond the face of the hub. I used a bench grinder, and it's tedious work.
I put the studs in the freezer and the hub in a warm oven, then gently pressed the studs in. Good firm fit without requiring excessive force.

I don't love the idea of altering the studs but there were no alternatives that I could find. If anyone knows different please let me know.

So why doesn't 610-156 work? Same knurl diameter, with shorter knurl length.

Joe, I purchased a Dorman 610-156 and discovered that it also requires modification to fit. Although the knurled length is shorter than 610-096, the shoulder is still slightly too long and would require some grinding. 610-156 overall length is also longer than stock. I don't know if the extra length would be OK or if it would bottom out in the lug nut acorns on SuperStock wheels. I concluded that 610-096 required less modification, but I think 610-156 is a viable option, too.
