Just a question from the knowledgeable ones. I need to replace the drivers side spindle and king pin bushings. What years are compatable with my 56?

Hi Kapt'n, let me go out to the shop tomorrow and look at something. I dont want to make a mistake here. But for now ,I will say,that 98 spindles are a little bit bigger than the 88's (in '56). Jeff

OK, the 98's are bigger (just enough to matter). As far as other years, I dont know right off the top of my head, but if it REALLY becomes an issue, give me a yell and I'll pull a wheel each off the 55 and the 53 and find out. See Ya, Jeff

 

According to the "GM mechanical and body interchange manual" it says, 53-56 are the same.

 

Well hopefully he found that out in the NINE and a half years where nobody replied to this

 

You never know,.....but NO ONE even tried to answer the question for him in 9 1/2 years.
