Power Brake Booster Gasket issue

Ok, this front brake conversion project is getting frustrating. I removed the master cylinder from the power booster. A chunk of the power booster gasket that surrounds the rod is missing.

So, what caused this mess? Something caused the pin to make contact with the gasket while trying to make contact with master cylinder plunger.

That issue aside, where can I get a new gasket that surrounds the push rod of the power booster? I googled it and no luck so far.

If you're talking about the black cup seal that goes between the M/C and the booster, yes you can get new ones. Search for something line power brake booster seal. I've mainly seen them at Corvette repro parts vendors, but the 1960s and 70s ones are all the same. This is important to seal the booster.

I think dorman products might have one in "help" line of parts. Probably get it at most any auto parts store right off the rack.

Its usually in the box with a new master....I've got one in the tool box, been there forever.

Yea, not much luck googling that alone. Tried "push rod seal" etc.

No, not according to the CSM. Just that rubber cup seal that goes into the booster "push rod seal" that I linked earlier.
