Old brake setup

Hey guys. I switched over to front discs and was wondering if the complete old drum setup is worth selling?

What is it off of? If it’s from a 1920 Studebaker it probably worth a small fortune.

C'mon. You know that the only cars Olds ever made were the 1968-72 A-body cars, right?

If the car would be worth more in factory condition than modified (say like a documented W-30, W-31 or similarly rare and valuable), I'd hang on to the original setup for a future owner who may want an accurate restoration.

Kind of a gray area with just over 5000 produced for 1968, but that is quite possibly a "special" enough car to warrant hanging onto any original equipment you've replaced. I would, anyway -- you won't generate much more than pocket change by selling it.

My father bought the car in 69 so its a family car and wont ever be sold. I know its not a rare car and isnt worth a ton, even restored, so thats why im not afraid to make changes

Depends on whether you consider $50-60K "a ton". In any case, I wouldn't go overboard with the changes -- don't do anything that can't be undone.
