1966 442 front drum brake kit

I notice inline tube and others sell a complete rear drum kit, but they do not sell a front drum kit. All you can get for the front is a spring kit and shoes. Is the front hardware different than the rear on a 66? I’m talking about the plates and the adjusters and all that stuff, what’s different about the front then the rear?

Backing plates are different, drums are different, wheel cylinders are different, shoes are different, and fronts don't have the e-brake actuators. Rather than worry about buying a kit, just get the parts individually from a brand name like Raybestos, Walker, or Bendix.

These are not normal wear items. I can't say that I've ever seen new ones for sale.

‘Nobody sells new or repop that I could find. I bought a basket case L69, went to take the drums off to start with some brakes and all 4 wheels were empty under the hubs.. fortunately another Olds guy had a couple complete old hubs and they still had the spring brackets and front hardware attached. I just finished all 4 wheels with the brakes.. tons of work but it’s a project and I wanted to do a complete car..

I would assume that since most of these cars get converted to disc brakes, a lot of people should have these parts sitting under their workbench.

I think they get tossed more than saved, or lost. .
