master cylinder upgrade question

I want to upgrade my 1966 toronado to a dual master cylinder after an incident with a blown line and no brakes, thats a lot of car to stop with your feet, thankfully it was in a parking lot. I have searched the forums and my conclusion is I can use the booster and master cylinder from a 1967 toronado with out any issues, am I correct? this is a front drum rear drum configuration. I am a little nervous so am looking for someone objective to tell me if i am right.
p.s. I tried the toronado forum first but not much activity there.

yes. Also you need to rework the brake lines; in 66 all of them go to a junction block and then one line goes to the master cylinder (mc). You need the front lines to go to one end and the rear line to go to the other port of the mc. It might be easiest to remove the rear line, get a coupler and a short line for it to reach the mc. You can plug the port in the junction you just took the rear line off. Special plugs are available at parts houses. You can also get the big nuts and short adapter lines to go to the mc.

You'll need the M/C and power booster for a 67. The single circuit M/C used a longer pushrod between the booster and M/C than the dual circuit M/C.
