Line lock questions

So I got line lock for my 72 cutlass and the directions are poop!
I'm wondering the best way to hook it up. I've read that it's a good idea to put in a brass proportional valve instead of ur cast one!
The directions say that from the pro valve u have your front left and right brake lines. It says to delete the left line (put a plug in the pro valve) and plug it into the line lock. Unscrew the remaining line that is coming from your pro valve (right line) and put it into line lock. So now you have your front right and left lines in the line lock and now you install ONE line coming from pro valve into line lock.

I tried explaining this the best I could but give me your ideas on if you think that would work?
Also what brands of line lock do you guys use and any issues?
Thanks clay

You have it correct. The line lock needs to control both front brakes, so you need to plug one of the combo valve outputs and plumb the remaining one into the line lock, then tee off after the line lock to the two front wheels. The stock combo valve simply has this "tee" built into it. The brass combo valve is better than the iron one because the iron one can get rust in the bore, possibly causing the piston to stick in the valve.
