E-brake cable length

It seems my E-brake cable might be a couple inches too long? I bought everything from ILT and they are asking for the length of the one I have installed. Since it's installed, it is real hard to get an accurate measurement. The cable I'm talking about is the front cable connected to the E-brake pedal that has the threaded adjustment. Would any of you guys know the correct length I am supposed to have? The car is a 1970 442 4spd.

Looks like you have the longer TH400 front cable. The front cable for TH400 is 49.5" vs 44.5" for all other transmissions.

I had an identical problem with ILT 20 years ago. Initially, I told them what length I wanted.

They sent another length and then argued with me that I was wrong. I even offered to send them a copy of the factory documentation.

They eventually sent the correct length.

I'm surprised that they have not learned in the ensuing 20 years.
