C6 brakes, What do I need to make them work

I can get a set of Corvette C6 calipers and rotors for $250-300. What else do I need to make these work on my 71 Convertible with front disks. If there are any templates for brackets, etc I ca probably make those. Do these require 18" wheels? What if I want to lower it a couple of inches?

Check out Kore3.com for everything you need. There are brackets available, you will need at least 17 inch wheels if not 18s. This conversion is also documented at Pro-touring.com

I have a kit from Tobin at KORE3, one of the best vendors I've dealt with. Not just in the automotive hobby, but in general. 17's may fit, 18's will be easier. Clearance from the inside of the spoke to face of the caliper can be an issue as well.

Many options to lower it. Up front best bet is tall upper and lower ball joints (along with a mild drop spring), the tall lower ball joint lowers the car and they both work together to create a better camber curve. Aftermarket UCA's will be needed. Drop springs in the back are easy. Check out SC&C for suspension goodies.
