Brakes stay lit

Hello,

This may be a known common problem but when i press the brake pedal I have to put my foot behind it to pull it back towards me to get the brake lights to cut off.Someone told me it may be my brake booster and I need a new one.Do you think thats the problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Brake booster? Not hardly. If the brakes work correctly then you simply need to adjust the switch on the brake pedal. It's under the dash, attached to the bracket that the break pedal pivots on. Just unplug the wires and screw the switch in a little, then reconnect the wires.
