'66 Starfire master cylinder identification help

Hey, I am not sure whether my master cylinder on my 66 Starfire is a Moraine or a Bendix. I bought a master cylinder off of rock auto and there are only holes for the brake line to come in from the side or the top, while mine comes in the bottom. Would just bending the brake line realistically be the easiest way to go? But either way need ID help... Thanks

I ordered a 66 Starfire power brake master cylinder off of rock auto guess it's just a generic reproduction.

Rock Auto has a bad habit of listing the wrong parts.
My advice is to send it back and order one from Fusick.

Casting # is on the bottom....

The problem with rockauto is that they only have current chineseum company's listings -- and they are not geared to go back into the '60s...

Unfortunately, Fusick is not much better as they are more interested in selling their expensive reproduction body parts for $500 this and $750that.

I was at Ag Hall by you a couple weeks ago -- won't be back down that way until April -- but we can UPS, of course.....

Might be able to supply you with an m.c. kit, also -- to keep an original Delco in tact....

Call me with the casting number (on the bottom of the master cylinder) and I will tell you DEFINITIVELY what you have... and I am POSITIVE I have the correct one in stock (and it will be less expensive then Fusick)...

Call me -- Craig -- 516 - 485 - 1935 ... New York....

Just call......

What Charlie shows you has a 50 - 50 shot of being correct -- the Delco and Bendix "look alike" -- but their guts are different and the ultimate reach is different (critical).....

Additionally, that is Dorman brand -- which is reboxed Chinesium parts -- Dorman only boxes and manufacturers NOTHING.

want to do it right -- just call....

The way I told them apart was Bendix normally had a screw cap instead of the wire bail. I've seen Bendix both front and bottom connection whereas all Moraines were bottom outlet

But yes, Lucas- that's a Moraine booster and M/C. I'm not 100% sure the B/C cars were using Bendix in 66.
