1972 Front Disc - Stainless Caliper Hose

Anyone use these flexible stainless steel brake caliper hose lines?

Looking to swap out the 52 year old rubber lines on a 1972 Olds 442 with front disc brakes.

I've use them in the past, but I prefer the stock rubber. Your link is for the one in the rear.

Did you experience any issues with the stainless line?

No, just can't justify the expense difference when the functionality is the same. I'd rather spend money on other things. Beneath the stainless sheath the line is still rubber.

I've used similar braided stainless brake hoses with no issues. Be sure they are AN-3 with teflon liners. If possible, get the ones that are DOT approved. Many are not. That doesn't mean that they are any better or worse, just that the vendor didn't want to pay for the certification. The problem will come if you ever have an accident and the insurance company finds out that you didn't have DOT-approved brake hoses. Hilarity ensues.
