1968 442 4 piston brake question

I’m doing a frame off soon due to this summer being shot. Looking for parts and direction on front brakes. It currently has drum brakes non powered. I’d like to go with disc but am only going that route with 4 piston ones as it is what was available in 68. I am trying to go with a w30 look to her with the scoops and such.
My question is if I try to make her as a w30would it have these? I had read that these never came with disc brakes in 68, and never came with power due to cam lift. I can understand this. Did any 442s come with these or were disc brakes a big car only option in 68?
I’m good with drums and no power as she is a 4 speed and such but I am trying to restore it to all OEM but still keep it performance I have no build sheet, no broadcast sheet, so all I’m working off is date codes and part numbers. Can’t proof much of anything so I’m going for my preferences. Thanks for any help. Matt

The four piston RPO J52 disc brakes were only available as power discs in the 1968 model year, so they were not available on the W30 cars. Lesser 442s could certainly be had with them.
