I recently stipped out the interior on my 1973 olds 98 to find some rust spots that needed some attension..One section was under the passenger front seat..The other was to the left of the brake pedal..It was a pretty easy fix..I traced the shape i need out on some carboard and then drew the pattern on some sheetmetal and then cut out the rusted section and weld in the new...I then used a anglegrinder to clean off most of the surface rust that was on the other parts of the floor....I then coatd the areas down with naval jelly...After all of this I was pretty much looking at a rustless floor....I cleaned wverything up with purple power degreaser and dryed everything and used some truck bedliner coating and put 2 thick coats on the entiire floor..It came out awesome,,,,

rustoleum truckbedliner coating from walmart....43.00 a gallon......i was going to use pro-15 but funds wouldnt allow it..I know several people that has used truckliner stuff to seal repaired metal and it works real good..My next job unfortunely is trying to figure out my choke,,,,
I am going to get her on a lift and begin cleaning of the old undercoating off the bottom...Most is peeling off easily..I will sand the heck out of everything...Apply several coatings of eastwood rust convertor,,,And then spray everything with new undercoating spray....I hope my works keeps the old car together a few extra years
