Body sealer (for a/c heater box to firewall) vs butyl rubber for rear window

https://m.ebay.com/itm/AMK-Products-...pid=1833199116 Hello. I am planning on using this product to seal my a/c heater blower to the firewall on my 72 cutlass. Can I also use this to set and seal my rear window or should I use butyl rubber?
Thank you!

Use the butyl for the heater box but for windows go modern and use window urethane .

For the heater box, and similar items, just use rope caulk from your local big box hardware store. That's all those guys are selling - that's not butyl, but with a healthy markup.

Butyl is a real pain to clean up, so I wouldn't use it except where necessary. Which with urethane for windows, there's nowhere that butyl is necessary.

Fresh butyl cleans easy with mineral spirits. Old butyl will flake off in chunks as it hardens up over time. I would not use urethane on the box as you usually have to cut it. Its very very permanent so for glass its perfect as you can cut it out but for hard tp reach spots it will suck

https://m.ebay.com/itm/Caulk-Wthrstr...MAAOSwjL5ZMYGV thank you for the replies. Some of you said rope caulk. Do you mean this stuff? Am I looking for a putty type material or a foam type material?
