I am pretty sure that I have seen a 1968 sales brouchure featuring a bright yellow 442 convertible. But the listed available colors for 1968 does not show any bright yellow color.
Wonder if anybody knows what color this is.
Or does this brouchure only exist in my head?

Corvette had a bright color in 68 (safari yellow) and GMC did as well. the rest, Olds, Pontiac and Chevy had a lighter yellow I think Olds was called Saffron that year.

I think the white on a 68 looks great.

I think the white looks good, too...not that I'm prejudiced or anything...!!!

The "yellow" in the brochure looks bolder than the Olds "saffron" yellow is in reality.

yep that's a retouched yellow - I actually really like the pale saffron yellow but the one in the brochure is closer to what was used by GMC and Corvette that year.

I'm starting to like white more as well. One of the first things on my mind when I bought my 69 was changing the color. Now that i've cleaned it up and it actually has a decent shine to it white doesnt look bad. I still want to ditch the h/o stripes and get it painted because I think it's tacky but someone in this cars past must of thought it was a good idea. Burgandy Mist > White > Tahitian Turquoise are my top three atm. Saffron is an awesome color but not for me.

White is one of the best colors IMO, doesn't show the dirt, easier to keep looking nice, and if you are refinishing it is so much more forgiving than a dark color regarding bodywork.
