Same studs as used for the window moulding chips. Can't remember if anything
was attached to them when I took it apart.

I've never seen studs there before. I don't think anything attaches to them. Maybe they were just practicing for window studs, or maybe somebody used a stud gun to pull a dent there. Who knows?

Looks like someone was practicing installing those at the factory. Not supposed to be there.

It doesn't make sense to me either, the only thing that attaches a little lower is the big block, firewall side to fender brace

sometimes the stud gun would jam or have another problem and it would be checked out on some non exposed metal, sometimes the line would stop and boredom would ensue

I agree with oldspackrat.
I've seen this twice before in the same place. ~BOB

Wow, that will mess with your head! Never seen those before, and the factory "practice" or "unjamming" sounds most plausible.

What if they are SUPPOSED to be there, and everybody else's car is missing them? That would suck, huh?

oldolds88,
Can you elaborate on what you did on the line? I'm sure many of us on here would like to hear about what you did, the process, neat things about it, cars that stand out in your memory, mess ups, etc....
