What all panels are needed to convert from a 68 to 71 front end?

As I take more and more of my car apart, more and more of the panels are completely rusted out. With that in mind, I prefer the 71-72 front end to the 68. Since I will most likely be buying all new panels anyway, I was curious if anyone knew what all would be needed to do the conversion?

Off the top of my head, I can see:
  • Hood
  • Grills
  • Headlight housings
  • Headlight bezels
  • Bumper
  • Fenders (?)
  • Radiator/bumper support piece (goes across entire front end and holds everything together. not sure what this part is called).
I may or may not do this, just curious if this is the right list.

Thanks!

Its going to be WAY easier locating a good set of '68 fenders than it is to swap the entire front clip, even if that would work. I'm pretty sure the '71 fenders won't line up w/ the '68 doors without a boat load of metal work. Even if it does, you'll end up w/ a bastard of a car that you'll probably never be able to sell. I've seen '68-'69 interchanges that work, but never a '68/69 to a '70/71/72 swap.

If you are set on going down that alley, you better throw in a wiring harness so you won't have to hack up the '68 harness to get the wires to reach where they need to go. "Core support" is the item that holds radiator and ties the fenders and grilles all together. The bumper hangs off brackets bolted to the frame, not the core support. You'll need those brackets too.

Thank you sir! Good advice. Looks like I'll stick with the 68 stuff then. I'm going to be going to a modern ECU/wiring harness so that's not an issue, but not wanting to change the doors.
