Trunk Brace?

Hopefully the attachment is here but Im looking for a new Brace that goes across the bottom of the trunk that the last set of body mounts sits on. Is this part available or are we looking at a donor car situation or has anyone ever fabricated one?

I or probably a few others on this site will have that part. I'm going on vacation tomorrow & will be gone for about a week or I'd get pix for you. I'm sure someone else will post soon but if not, contact me next week?

I have one off and ready to go that was taken off the spot welds, no rust and mounting nuts are nice. The only problem is a small section in the middle top edge was cut with the tail panel by the previous owner.

I don't have a part number But They have them listed on ebay. BTW the GTO uses the same. if this helps your search. ebay Number#390286487274 The only reason this is not listed for a cutlass is it has 2 1/2"punched holes not used for a cutlass. I have used these on cutlass's personally on a 68 and a 70 442

Here is another one on ebay

Compare it to yours

This one i see doesn't even have the holes i mentioned. so this is is even better

I just did a 70 and found the part to be identical other than two small holes. I can take a photo of it on my car as the car is still apart if you want.

My point with the holes is you see on your picture the holes to the left and right of where the filler neck would be? On the cutlass these are not used so they are just holes. But on the GTO they are used and have a threaded nut behind the hole.

I used one in my 70 convertible and it was identical. The only difference was the new one didn't have the little hole for the filler neck support.
