Temp sealing rear window leaks?

My rear window channel on 68 Cutlass is pretty rotten. The paint on the bottom has rust bubbles and I am getting a solid leak into my trunk coming though from each bottom corner and recently the center as well. I was wondering if there is anyway to seal the window temporarily until I can come around to getting it taken care of. I have a few more things on my list before its time to fix the rust. Thanks

Put the car in a garage, or move to the desert..

Smear clear silicone sealant liberally all the way around the rear window trim, against the glass, and against the paint. Not pretty, but worked great for me in the '80's.
