Stripping to metal ?

How long can you leave the car stripped to the metal ?

What seems to work the best...I just did a door with 60 disk on a grinder it was quick but some heavy scratches. I think that I will tyr 80 DA on top of that.

Any suggestions ?

Depends on where you are...
Here in the Northeast, about two hours.
In Arizona, probably about twenty years.

SIXTY?!?
Wow. You're a brave man.
You'll be filling gouges for weeks.

Use a Scotchbrite-type stff rotating paint removal pad and you'll be much happier, and save the 60 grit for grinding diamondplate. I've made that mistake. I know.

I have used aircraft stripper before but you better have some good ventilation and that stuff is nasty but it works. I would check on soda blasting. I have never used it but I have only heard good things about it.
