My '67 convertible is down to the metal at the body shop I am using - if I think about it, I'll grab some pics and post them later in the week. Looks funny with all he chrome off - naked!
Yours looks solid - as solid as mine, easy. Nice cars

Looks good. Much better than mine. I have put a hold on any work on the 442 until we can get settled at the lake. The wife got a buyout for an early retirement and the house in St. Louis sold so we are in a turmoil here at the lake trying to get settled. Just too much stuff. The garage is full of boxes and some extra furniture so I am toying with the idea of building a workshop, 24 x 24, and moving all of my tools, the compressor, welder, and the car to the workshop. Most likely after the first of the year.
Keep us posted on the progress.

I thought you decided to change color when I saw your post the other day! Didn't know what to say! LOL! But I thought it still looked pretty good.
I've been using a 3M guide coat that's a black powder. I'm lost with what you used (or how) as a guide coat. School me a little on that please.
Still looking great!!

It's acually sealer,we are going to blocksand then wetsand the entire car before shooting color..swapped out the rims and dismounted the tires yesterday to paint the rims body color.
This Sat we are trimming out the trunk and underhood area's
The car looks so weird in the "charcoal" sealer
The reason the painter wanted to use sealer as a guide coat is because it's glossy and I could point out any imperfections to him (I think).

Thanks guys..next update in a few weeks.
Have to wait for the paint to cure,
then it's wetsand/polish and reassembly time.
I can't wait to see how she looks with the painted rims and 275/60's on the rear

I don't go anywhere near Queens Blvd !
It's Bayside and all points east of Bayside for me !
2 more weeks for paint to really cure and sand/polish reassemble !
Put my rear tires on 275-60-15 today and they look great.
Do you know of any decent chromers on L.I. for some trim peices ?
