Replacing Bumpers

Replacing front and rear bumpers on 72 Cutlass. Any tricks to refreshing or enhancing the brake lights and front lower maker/turn lights? Anyone doing anything different with style or color bulbs or coloring of the backing?

First, make sure the bulbs, sockets and connectors are clean and not corroded.

Polish the plastic lenses if cloudy using headlight restorer.

Upgrade to LED bulbs. Have to change the flasher by the fuse box too for the blinkers to work right.

I'm just about done on a nut n bolt restoration on my 72 Supreme and what I did was repaint the inside metal areas of both front bumper and rear tail lights and white semi gloss. They came out great and it helps reflecting light out to make them slightly brighter. I did this to my dash gauges as well with same results.
