How to fix screw holes on rear spoiler

I picked up an original rear spoiler earlier today and overall it is in good shape with the exception of the screw holes on one side are stripped out. The center hole that holds the stud is fine, it is the two self tapping screw that are messed up. How hard is this to repair and what do you recommend. Thanks JD

screws into what? steel, pot metal, aluminium, fiberglass?

A load of JB weld or epoxy should fill the hole solid enough that you can drill a pilot hole.

It is an original spoiler - so it would be fiberglass - it is where the pedestals meet the actual spoiler - the holes in the fiberglass are too big

Epoxy then. Pretty much any filler will work. A quick fix would be to head to your local marina. Glass repair kits are an over the counter item for them.

If you are not worried about the fasteners being 100% correct, I would expoy threaded studs into the spoiler holes and then use washers and nuts to hold it to the deck lid.
