Hood/fender gap on '71 Cutlass

Hood/fender gap on '71 Cutlass

Hood and fender don't exactly meet, but it's not the typical issue of distance between the two. The issue is that the side edge of the hood where it meets the fender is above the fender at the windshield and at the headlights, and below it in the middle section of the hood. Same on both sides, which makes me think it's a hood rather than fender fit issue. Hood latches and releases fine. I'm not trying to restore this to competition level so it's not worth ordering a new hood, but I'm interested in any thoughts you guys might have.

I agree that this sounds like a hood issue.

Pictures might help us figure it out a bit further.

No, appears to be original metal hood.

Post a picture as Eric suggested. You may me able to place some blocks in the center where it dips and then force the front and rear down to get it align.
