Is it better/easier to cover a roaster with plastic top up or down

Getting ready to paint my roadster and was wondering if it would be better to seal it up for over spray with the top up or down? Any advantages one way or another? Just checking before I make a mistake I can't sand out....Tedd

I've always masked convertibles with the top up. Top up gives you something relatively rigid to hang the plastic on. Top down and you potentially get pockets that can retain debris, just waiting for a blast from the spray gun to blow them into the wet paint.

Muskrat roasted her roaster about three weeks ago. Wasn't paying attention to her stove. Found one at the second hand store...$3.00.

That is roaDster with a D. Thanks guys I appreciated all suggestions, now if only I can find a roster lid that will fit tight enough to stop the over spray, super wide tape maybe....Tedd
