72 cutlass lower cowl HELP

Hello I have a 72 cutlass supreme. Behind the front fenders that the lower fender bolts to? I cant seem to find a nice picture of what its suppose to look like behind the front fenders on the cutlass. Mine is rotten and and I want to cut it out and replace it but cant find a good picture for comparison. The torque box is in ok shape just the rest of it by the bottom cowl and fender bracket is gone. Any help thank you.

This is a common problem area. I'm sure there's several members here who have replacement metal on their parts cars, including me. If you want to go that route I'd encourage you to create a parts wanted thread.

I just want to see some pictures first to see if I can fab it myself. I just had no good picture to go by. If it ends up me going to the wanted ads then it shall be done. Thank you

The correct j-nut that is the attaching point for the lower fender bolt is very difficult to find. It's still attached to the blue car pictured in this thread. The new ones available that are listed and described as "correct" are not close to the original.

Here's my car before paint. Maybe you can zoom-in on the lower cowl area and they'll help.
