1968 doors

I got the service manual and the Fisher manual, but can't find anything about the doors.Am I missing a section or is it my eyes?
Was going to remove the vent window assembly, but it seems like the side window have to be removed first.
A drawing would help me a lot.

It's in the Fisher Body Manual but it's not all that easy to find

Yes, the side window has to be removed in order to get the vent window out

I probably got it wrong, instead of the Fisher manual I have the Cutlass/442 assembly manual. That is a different one isn't it?
Went through it one more time, seems like it covers just about everthing, exept the doors.

Unfortunately I don't have a updated version of Acrobat to open it.

The Assembly Manual does not have the info. I don't have a soft copy of the Fisher Body Manual or I'd post it. It's fairly straight forward. Once you get the window glass disconnected the steel piece will still be attached to the bottom. Then you can get the glass out. There's a notch toward the rear of the door that's just big enough to fit the roller through that's attached to the steel piece. It's a little bit of a puzzle but I'm sure you'll figure it out. Once the glass is out the vent window can come out. I'm pretty sure the lower adjustment screw on the window track needs to be completely removed in order to get the vent window out. This is the one with the big washer on it

Got it all out.Wasn't able to do it by the book, the two Philips screws attaching the sash cam
(think that's what they called it,never hard that word before)was stuck.Had to detach the crank machanism to get the rollers out of the sash cam channel.
It's going to be a puzzle getting it all together, but first some rust removal.

Gutted both my doors tonight, right one seems to be the original.Has been reskinned at some point ,overall pretty decent but has some minor rust issues.
The left one has been replaced with one from a dark brown metallic car.
This door has probably had a dammage during it's lifetime. It has a row of approx.1/4 inch thick rod studs on the inside.I assume these were used to pull out a dent.
Wonder if anybody is familiar with this teqnique. They must have drilled holes in the skin to get them through, but are they welded on the outside?

The passenger door has had an eventful life.
It's going to take me a while to get it down to bare metal.
This is what I found.

Black primer
Some greenish stuff,maybe sprayfiller.
Dark brown metallic paint
Epoxy primer
Dark brown once more
Red primer
White paint
Epoxy primer
White paint
Add quite a bit of filler between the layers and we got it all.
