Looking for an obscure part for my 1968 Post

I'm in the beginning stages of a light (yeah, right) restoration of my 68 442 Post and find I need what is probably a pretty obscure piece. On the leading edge of the quarter window is a chrome sash (or call it a guide) that slides up and down in the B pillar and keeps the glass aligned. This is on the drivers side.

I checked the want ads on here and 442.com but don't see anything...

Any suggestions?

I can't see the numbers clearly when I increase the size of the picture... as far as I can tell, the piece I need is the 4th vertical piece shown, closest to the glass.

Let me know, thanks

It's possible that the 4th piece is just a strip of glass tape....a sort of butyl/rubber type product that gets wrapped over the edge of the glass and then the actual metal sash piece is pushed on over it.

This "glass tape" is what keeps the metal sash piece on the glass...without some sort of "gasket" or a material to create a tight fit the metal sash wouldn't stay on.

You're correct... I just couldn't see the pic well enough to know for sure. There has to be some sort of mastic that holds that sash in place and the sash is the piece I need.

I was a parts manager for Olds back in the 70's and early 80's... wish I would have kept a parts catalog.

If Paladin doesn't have one, I'm parting out a '68 post car that probably has it.

Ok Scott, thanks... Since you're parting one out, can I send you a pm with a couple other pieces I need?

Sorry 1968_Post cannot help you with that piece. Scott is a great guy to deal with. All the best with your project. Brett
