Need '66 442 trunk drop off panel (s)
Need '66 442 trunk drop off panel (s)
I'm in the process of replacing the trunk floor and after pulling out the old floor I found some poor body work replacing the right rear quarter panel. The
trunk floor to the quarter is rusted badly and can't even be used for a pattern to make a new one.
All the parts houses start with the '68 and newer for those panels and I've checked about a dozen, has anyone run across them?
I would prefer to get a new replacement panel but if anyone has a real decent used panel, I would be interested in that also. Bill

Goodmark lists their drop offs for 66-67 Chevelles as also fitting the 66-67 Cutlass. Don't buy them, I did and they do not fit. The pattern is similar but about 3" too short. I haven't been able to find them any where.
I love the 66/67 and wish I still had one.
If it's true that the 66/67 Chevelles also fit and you're looking for other than Goodmark, I found this on a search. Is it what you need?

If it looks like the right part, here's the website I got it from. http://www.parts123.com/0000080d/A74...er-a743500.htm
Not that expensive either if it's right. Good luck, hope you find the part you need.

Hmm, that link didn't work like I thought it would. Try this one: http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb....ort~1~cadeflbd
I have a right corner from the wheel back. I cut the quarter and through the trunk floor. It was intended to fix a car that had lost a rear wheel and trashed the quarter, but the guy ended up repairing what he had. Here it is with a hood leaning on it:
Amazingly it started raining here in So. Nev. just before I got to it, so you can see rain drops in the desert dust of the underneath side. Be aware that I am going to New Mexico tomorrow. You can continue contacting me via PM.
Run to Rund what are you asking for the piece?
