67 Cutlass windshield molding studs help

The 1967 Cutlass Supreme I bought has a new windshield, which is great. However, it looks like the PO removed all the studs for the molding clip studs. Does this make sense? Is it possible a new frame was used and they failed to notice the studs were not there? I don't see any way to get the studs put back.

Any thoughts from the group?

The clip studs were welded in originally. You will probably have to drill small holes and screw in small pan head sheet metal screws.

Isnt there an aftermarket stud available that has metal screw tips on them and then the correct stud head? Thought I've seen these somewhere but cant recall???? May have seen em on eBay?? Anyone else know?

Those pins rust and fall off. The best thing to do is to have new ones welded on. This is sometimes not doable due to circumstnces. I found the correct headed screw type replacements on ebay. It will be difficult to install them with the glass in.
