Not sure if this is the correct area to post this but seemed close. So I recently purchased a 1970 Cutlass Supreme and it did not have a passenger mirror. It has the remote drivers side mirror (controlled by know inside vehicle). I purchased a right side mirror from OPGI and noticed it is much thinner than the drivers side. I am assuming it is because of the remote adjustment function. But there is an obvious difference in appearance. My question is, are there passenger side mirrors that are the same thickness as the drivers side available and if so where do I get one as I cannot seem to locate or is the passenger side being thinner acceptable as I am trying to keep it as original as possible and well to me it just does not seem right.
If the one you have is oval, then yes, it is correct. Passenger side mirrors didn't have remote mechanism, therefore, they were thinner than the driver side remote mirror.
The factory passenger mirror mimics the drivers side, but has no adjustment.
Try Fusicks - I believe that they have the right mirror.
That is not correct. ALL passenger side mirrors are the thinner manual style. The thick driver side mirror is the optional remote style. The base equipment driver side mirror looks just like the available passenger side. They did not match from the factory and no matching style mirrors exist for the passenger side.

If that particular mirror style is the same as the way the '68-'69 chrome mirrors were, the passenger side chrome mirror wasn't called or labeled as an option. Instead, it was called an "accessory" which would have been available for purchase and installation at a dealership. Nothing "wrong" with the non-matching mirrors - that's just the way it was back then.
I have seen NOS passenger mirrors that look exactly like the driver's mirror,
minus the remote.

Correct, though the 70-72 mirrors have different bases than the 68-69 mirrors due to the different shape of the door. From the ACCESSORIES section in the parts book. Note that there is only one style of RH mirror for the 70-72 cars (not counting the sport mirrors).
I think the only way in that era for matching mirrors with a remote was 71-72 sport mirrors with left remote. My 72 has them. The non-sport remote, like Joe said above, matches with nothing. The one year only 70 sport mirrors I don't think had a remote option, but I am not sure.
So, Rhannan, you can run a remote left and no right. Or a remote left and non matching right. Or a non-remote left and right. Or get later year sport mirrors with or without remote. I have a 72 A body without right mirror and I use it only for backing into a garage or parallel parking curb distance check. The blindspots are not bad in these vehicles and you can see pretty much all that mirror would offer by looking manually.
On the other hand, my 72s control cables may need lubed as I am not too impressed with the remote. I will go right mirror on my 67, and matching non remote on the left because of this.
...and when I restored my '69 4-4-2 convertible that originally came with a remote driver side mirror and nothing on the passenger side, I decided to go with the passenger side non-remote "accessory" mirror and the non-remote driver side mirror so they would match. But it wouldn't be "incorrect", so to say, for me to have re-installed the remote driver side mirror and go with the non-remote, non-matching passenger side mirror. I've just kept that option for later consideration. For right now, I don't want to cut the hole in the driver side door panel because once it's cut, the hole doesn't go away, if one wanted to go back to matching mirrors, without replacing the door panel.
