The original white vinyl top on my '69 Cutlass is 99% perfect, but there's 2 small about 1/4" holes in the corners below the rear window. Does anyone know a a way to repair these or repair kits that are available? Seems to me some kind of vinyl-in-a-bottle stuff could work. Has a

nybody done similar vinyl repairs? I want to save this original top, the car is always garaged.

 

ive used this or similar kit to do some small repairs.

It worked fine i did a couple trial runs first to see how it worked and the results are fine, not unnoticeable if you look but better than damaged material.

The kit I had also had some grain matching cards to find a grain similar to the original grain to blend it better.

I think the only thing that wasnt OK was the sheen of the reprit didnt match the surrounding vinyl. That could probably be remedied w something like armor all or even a clear coat tho.

 

I've used the 3M kit to repair leather seats. It works well. After the repair there was a darker splotch showing where the repair was done but that could be minimized by matching the color closer.
