Outside Door Handle Pin lenght

I am installing a new set of outside door handles and the old ones are gone. I was wondering if anyone knows the correct lenght of the pin? These repros need to be cut to length.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I don't remember the length but I do remember that some of the repo door handles are smaller than the originals. If that's important to you I'd make sure you have the right size first. Once on the car no one would notice but I bought a repo and as soon as I compared it to my original I returned it.

I do not know the correct length, but they do have to be cut. Before your install the reproduction pins make sure to grind the tip down a bit so it is nice and rounded. If you leave the cut square then it will bind on the release plate and the **** will be hard to depress and/or the door will not open. Lubricate.

Door handle pin length

For what its worth, the originals I pulled off my 69 Cutlass extended 1 13/16" from the rear base of the button.

I bought replacements from The Parts Place and they had instructions on how to measure the pin. I no longer have them, but did you get instructions?

I say get a total length from another member.1. from the inner door to rods end these after junk parts are not oem in quality. this would be your total length plus make sure the rod totally depresses the latch and the springs in these kits are sh-t also oem are much better and this could really cause problems with the door functioning so leave the windows open until fully done period! door removal if theres problems can become a bi--- after this.
