Order of painting engine, bay and exhaust manifolds
I have everything prepared for paint. Cleaned, wire wheels, rust and oil free surfaces.
What order is best? 1.Bay 2.engine 3.exhaust manifold???
1950 98. Using Bill Hirsh engine enamel in correct green, vht very high heat cast iron finish for manifolds, and high heat satin black rust oleum for the bay/firewall

Is the engine currently installed in the vehicle? If so, use aluminum foil to block off the areas that you aren't painting and I would do it in the following order 1) engine 2) engine bay. The exhaust manifolds should be removed to paint them. Ultimately, I think you will be bummed about that VHT Superhot. Especially if you try to paint the manifolds when they are installed. The paint will bake off pretty quick. I used it and it wasn't very durable. Do you plan to brush paint the engine and engine bay?
