OAI Hood on Ebay for sale

It's not an original as you can see the fiberglass damage in the frame. But if anyone knows how to fibreglass in the Georgia area, this would make someone a nice hood. I know if it were close to me, I'd be bidding on it......even though I don't need one.

True....could be saved! I have the same hood with less damage than that, if someone wants to have fun and fix it, it's yours for $150......
I guess the owner was as careless as I was....

I wish I lived closer. For $150, that hood would be my backup. I had to repair mine. I'm not sure if you saw the pictures I posted? Mine is a real 442 hood with the steel frame.

My guess is that they used the original hood springs, which were too stiff for that hood, and it broke at the mounts.Maybe not,but just looks that way.Someone with a racecar, could gut the whole bottom out,and make it a pin-on hood, without damaging the top.

This guy is probably 10 miles from me. I don't have any interest in it, but if someone here buys it and needs a little extra time picking it up, I can pick it up and hold on to it, and that gets it out of the seller's way. Notice I didn't say I'd ship it anywhere.

OAI Hood

Hello guys i went over to take a look at the hood and its for a 1970, I told the guy that it wasnt the right hood for a 1972 but he insisted that it would fit. He said they wanted 250.00 for it.

He doesn't know what year his car is? I couldn't tell it wasn't a 71 because he didn't take a pic of the front where the grilles are raised for the 71/72.

Editted.....I just read the write up at the bottom and it's in a restoration shop. The guy probably doesn't own the car.

OAI Hood

No it wasnt his hood, actually he was the cleanest guy in the shop, RED FLAG!! He didnt know what he was talking about but I listened not wanting to be rude. He went online to try and prove to me he was right, and after showing him the diffrence in the 70 hood i just shook my head and told the guy to have a nice day..
