Anyone done a fiberglass bumper?
I've got a 67 with a twisted front bumper. Rather than dropping 1k+ on a decent metal one, I was considering a fiberglass one and painting it to match or something. I know it'll look funny with a chrome rear bumper, but better than one that looks like it ran into a a wall?
I disagree. There are paints and powder coating now that can emulate chrome quite well. IMHO, I've never liked a "monochrome" car. Like anything it's just a personal preference.

The hard part of your project will be molding a fiberglass bumper that looks right since the one you have is bashed on one side. At least you have 1 good side, it's just a matter of making a mirror image on the side that is damaged.
