68 convertible door wedges proper assembly??

I've looked thru the 68 PIM looking for an answer and maybe I missed it, but...

Which part of the 'wedge set' goes on which side, in other words - the door side or the jamb side??

My new to me 'vert has the brass 'shim' mounted on the door on the passenger side with the stainless "bump plate" on the jamb...
However, the driver's side has the "bump plate" on the door... and I just have two screw heads looking at me on the jamb. Seems the brass shim went AWOL...
-But, this would be the opposite of the other side... So, hmmmm....

Anyone know where it's called out how it was built? I did find somewhere official that the interference is to be 1/32, and that seems crazy to me! (Sorry I'm a precision machinist, .031 thousandths seems like a hell of a lot to me for that!!)....

How did Lansing or Fisher originally put the wedges ?? Thanks! Rob

Ok, sorry just found this in the fisher body manual. So, brass goes to Jamb. SS bump plate goes to door.
